Apex Study

In the environment I used RGB masks on all non-natural assets and attached them to a series of material expressions to create a global grunge shader of sorts

Super glad to have had this to keep me busy during covid, but glad to see it finally done! After 3ish months of working on this thing on and off I'm super happy with the results. I'm a huge fan of Apex's vibrant sci-fi style and thought these science buildings were the perfect thing to create a little desert environment around. I used MegaScans for the terrain materials, foliage, and one of those assembly rocks, everything else I made. Also that sick banner graphic was made by my good buddy https://www.artstation.com/gainer-zach who wanted to get in on the fun! Thanks to everyone who gave feedback on it during its creation and thanks again to https://www.artstation.com/wermuth for the rock tutorial that inspired most of the master material creation in this project!
